A good education isn't learning by rote. A good lesson isn't punishment for failing. A good outcome isn't in data and stats. A good mark doesn't seal anyone's fate, but can't be erased. A good assignment doesn't have a deadline, but can't be skipped.
That's why the best teachers are always willing to help students so that no one gets left behind, and they're always happy to review something so that nothing gets forgotten. They call it core curriculum.
All of this is because good people are experts at helping people in need, and people in need are the good person's concern. But we ignore the experts and avoid the subject, and even the research says it's a big mistake. They call that a key finding.
