Teach with humour and grace

Good students apply themselves and learn it. Normal students sometimes remember, sometimes forget. Bad students laugh at it.

A way you can't laugh at isn't worth learning, so here's some sage advice.

Observing it obscures it. Proving it refutes it. Clarifying it confounds it. Praising its power degrades it. Preaching defiles it. Promoting its power depletes it. Celebrating its power demeans it. Believing denies it.

A theory with no proof, a lesson learned too late, a lecture too faint to hear, a metaphor with no meaning, Laozi's way is a riddle with no answer, and it's only as convincing as it is a good sport.
